Dr. Rednour
Dr. Bob Rednour graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine at North Carolina State University in 1989. He spent several years in mixed animal practice before founding LAVS in 1995. As owner of the practice, Dr. Rednour has provided quality care to a large variety of animals over the course of many years. He is particularly well known for his excellent client education and communication skills. Dr. Rednour's special medical interests include chiropractics, along with equine and bovine reproduction. His hobbies include horseback riding (team penning and trail riding), hunting, fishing, and hiking.
Dr. Bouchey
Dr. Michelle Bouchey is a 2006 graduate of Michigan State University. Prior to joining LAVS in 2012, she practiced large animal medicine in Eastern North Carolina for 6 years before deciding to move more inland. Dr. Bouchey enjoys many aspects of veterinary medicine and is known for her warm and caring bedside manner. She is detail-oriented and devoted to providing the best possible care to her patients. In her free time, Dr. Bouchey enjoys trail riding, civil war reenacting, reading & knitting.
Large Animal Veterinary Services is located in central North Carolina, just 25 miles north of downtown Raleigh. While our doctors routinely provide comprehensive ambulatory care, they also offer haul-in appointments at our office location. Our property is custom-built and encompasses a large hospital barn with spacious stalls and adjoining paddocks for our inpatients, as well as a sizable front lot for trailer parking and outpatient assessments. For our cattle patients, our property houses a chute and headgate, for ease of care.
